BUFFALO, N.Y. — The soccer trainer from accused of exchanging naked photos with minors pleaded guilty to child pornography charges on Tuesday, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Clarence Center resident Shelby Garigen, 41, pleaded guilty to having access with intent to view child pornography. Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango says Garigen communicated with two 17-year-olds on Snapchat, and during that time Garigen received and viewed sexually explicit images from both victims.
Garigen was a former soccer trainer with Empire United Soccer Academy.
She faces a a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Garigen will be sentenced in February.
