Jamestown Police investigate Newland Avenue stabbing

The individual was flown to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa., and is currently in stable condition.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — An individual is in stable condition following a stabbing Saturday morning in Jamestown, according to the Jamestown Police Department. 

Police say the person was stabbed in a fight around 2:49 a.m. near 320 Newland Avenue, between Prospect Street and Broadhead Avenue. Jamestown Police say it was a targeted act and not a random incident. 

The individual was flown to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa., and is currently in stable condition.

The incident was reportedly caught on camera, and Jamestown Police are seeking the suspect. However, no arrests have been made at this time.
