FBI attempting to obtain information from potential victims

Victims have been targeted from 2017 up until his arrest on March 7. The FBI believes victims could be both minors, and adult women.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The FBI's Buffalo Field Office is looking for information regarding the potential victims of Max Yang Chen, who has been indicted for unauthorized device intrusion and cyberstalking. 

During the FBI's investigation they had revealed that Chen allegedly gained access to the social media accounts of women which had sexually explicit photos and videos stored on them. Chen allegedly harassed multiple women to release their images and if they didn't he would pretend to have the ability to leak them. 

Victims have been targeted from 2017 up until his arrest on March 7. The FBI believes victims could be both minors and adult women. 

Chen is believed to have used these Instagram accounts to contact victims:

  • alexparsley123
  • tblair234
  • kristorino
  • kristeenthrack
  • temptempterm (multiple variations)
  • haydenjaus

Those who may have been victimized by Chen, or by any of the above-listed usernames, are asked to please fill out  this short form. Victims may also contact FBI Buffalo at SextortionTipsBCTF@FBI.GOV.
