BUFFALO, N.Y. — Former Buffalo Bills wide receiver Eric Moulds was back in town on Wednesday for the annual Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame induction dinner.

He, along with 11 other members of the 2023 class were honored at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center for their impact on the local sports community.

Before the ceremony, Moulds emphasized how important the Buffalo community is to him.

"It's a (certain) feeling that you get that you're a part of this community," Moulds said. "Once you're a Buffalo Bills, you're always a Buffalo Bill... and you're always a part of the community."

Moulds started his career in Buffalo when he was drafted 24th overall in the first round by the Bills. He played for Mississippi State before his time in the NFL.

Throughout his tenure with the Bills, Moulds had 626 receptions for 8,523 yards, which was the seventh most in the league at the time. In addition, he also averaged 78.25 catches and 1,065 yards per season, while setting an NFL playoff record with 240 receiving yards against the Miami Dolphins in January of 1999.

After leaving Buffalo in 2005, he continued his career with the Houston Texans and the Tennessee Titans before retiring in 2007.

Moulds is currently second all-time for the Bills in receptions with 675, totaling for 9,096 receiving yards, and 48 touchdown reception.

Despite playing alongside Andre Reed and Quinn Early, he made a name for himself early on in his career, as he was named to the Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team in 1996 and was named Second Team All-Pro twice in 1998 and 2002.
