ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Orchard Park has lifted their travel advisory.

However, the roads are still snow covered and slippery, according to police.  They also say there are several abandoned vehicles on side streets that they are working with their owners to remove.

They remind motorists to drive slow and give themselves extra time when traveling on the roadways.

A Lake Effect Snow Warning continues for Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and southern Erie counties until 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service

The lake effect snow band east of Lake Erie is slowly shifting south but is moving slower than expected.

So far Monday night many locations in central and southern Erie County are already reporting well over half a foot of snow and some spots nearing to around a foot of snow.

There is a Travel Advisory effective immediately for the Town and Village of Orchard Park. No unnecessary travel as there are multiple accidents, and vehicles off the roads. Please stay at home!
