Nearly 2 feet of snow reported in this week's lake-effect snow event in WNY

Some places in the Southtowns and higher elevations saw nearly 2 feet of snow from Monday into Wednesday.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — This week's lake effect snow event has wrapped up, and storm snow totals have been reported. Many areas south of Buffalo saw more than a foot of snow, and some nearly two feet of snow.

From Monday into Wednesday here are some snowfall total reports in Western NY from the National Weather Service. 

Chautauqua saw 23 inches, Arcade 22 inches, Randolph 21 inches, Dewittville 17.5 inches, East Aurora 16.6 inches, Kennedy 16.4 inches, Holland 15.7 inches, Eden 15.6 inches, Hamburg 15.2 inches, Wales 15.2 inches, Elma 15.2 inches, Sardinia 14.8 inches, West Valley 13.1 inches, Boston 16.5 inches, Orchard Park 14 inches, Attica 14.6 inches, Angola 15.6 inches, Silver Creek 13.5 inches, and Mayville 12.5 inches.

Lake Effect Snow Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories were finally allowed to expire during Wednesday morning.
