House destroyed in 2-alarm fire on Buffalo's west side

The fire was reported around 3:00 Thursday morning

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A two-alarm fire destroyed a house on Buffalo's west side.

Firefighters were called to 237 Maryland just after 2:30am Thursday. 

Investigators say the fire started in a lower floor of a vacant structure. There was a lot of debris in the house, according to firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.   Damage is estimated at $145,000.

No one was injured.
