Woman shot while driving car in Niagara Falls dies from wounds

McKenzie Munt, 19, was shot on 19th Street in Niagara Falls on Monday around 4:30 p.m.

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A woman who was shot while driving in Niagara Falls on Monday has died from her injuries, according to a release from Niagara Falls Police on Thursday.

McKenzie Munt, 19, of the Tuscarora Indian Reservation has been identified as the victim.

The shooting took place on Monday around 4:30 p.m., according to police. Munt was shot in the head, which resulted in her colliding with other vehicle at the corner of 19th Street and Falls Street. 

Police say the driver of the other car was not involved in the shooting. They were treated for minor injuries from the collision.

The Niagara Falls Police Department is still investigating the incident and is asking for any information the public may have.
