ELMA, N.Y. — A woman has been arraigned in connection to a deadly hit-and-run crash that happened in January.

Stephanie Kollatz, 36, of Elma appeared in Town of Elma court on Thursday, following a fatal crash that happened on Jan. 8 at 4701 Transit Road.

Kollatz has been charged with one felony count of leaving the scene of an accident, one misdemeanor count of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and a number of vehicle and traffic law violations. She was released following the arraignment.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office said back in January that they had been searching for a white Chrysler Town and Country minivan, likely a 2008 through 2016 model, in connection to the death. They said it would likely have damage to a headlight, turning signal, and the passenger side mirror.
