BUFFALO, N.Y. — After more than 40 years in the business, many restaurants owners seek ways to step back a bit.
That’s exactly what Steve Calvaneso was looking forward to – until his wife pointed out an opportunity in her hometown of Sanborn last summer.
Calvaneso’s Ultimate Restaurant Group was busy running four eateries and a catering operation.
Yet at 64, he jumped at the chance to buy the building at 5894 Ward Road in Sanborn, where he opened the Marlboro Kitchen and Bar in March.
