BUFFALO, N.Y. — Some Western New York favorites gathered Sunday to determine which pizzeria has the best slice in the region.
The Ultimate Pizza Fest Champion at Pizza Fest took place over four hours at Resurgence Brewing Company. People who attended the $45 event had the opportunity to vote for their favorites. They could try up to 10 slices.
Two Guys Pizza took home the award for best specialty pizza, while Carbone's won for best traditional pizza.
"My grandfather creating this in 1978 goes back to the roots... the same as me being third generation to run this business," Nicholas Carbone told 2 On Your Side.

- Franco's Pizza
- Leo's On Seneca
- Mister Pizza Elmwood
- One Pie Pizza Co.
- Pizza Plant Italian Pub
- Sugo's Pizza
- Wally's on Broadway
- Wiseguys Pizza in South Buffalo
A full bar was also available for people in attendance.
