Winter Weather Advisory for Parts of WNY

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties from 7 p.m. Tuesday night until 10 a.m. Wednesday.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The widespread snow from the Veterans Day storm has long gone, but now in its wake, northerly winds will instigate a couple of bands of lake effect snow showers Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties from 7 p.m. Tuesday night until 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Those in the affected counties could see lake effect snow accumulations of an additional 3 to 5 inches.

Parts of Chautauqua County already picked up close to 10 inches from the widespread snow Monday into Monday night, but totals in Cattaraugus County were about half that. Regardless, roads could be slippery and visibility could be reduced in lake effect snow bands.
