Niagara women win 5th straight, top Saint Peters

LEWISTON, N.Y. — The Niagara Purple Eagles women's basketball team picked up its fifth win in a row by defeating Saint Peters 85-51 on Thursday night.

The Peacocks started the game with the lead but quickly fell behind as Niagara ran away with the lead and kept it from the beginning of the first quarter through the end of regulation.

Saige Glover led the Purple Eagles with 17 points, nine rebounds, and made all eight of her field goal attempts.

Niagara will look to extend its win streak to six games against Manhattan next Thursday night. Tip-off against the Jaspers is scheduled for 7 p.m.
