Hundreds attend benefit to support Kim Vaillancourt

The city of good neighbors came together this weekend to help Kim Vaillancourt and her family.

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The city of good neighbors came together this weekend to help Kim Vaillancourt and her family.

2 on Your Side has been following the family's story for months.

Kim put off cancer treatments for stage four Glioblastoma until her baby boy was born weeks ago.
That diagnosis came just after she and her husband adopted three girls.

The family has received a tremendous amount of support from the Western New York community. Their story has even inspired some families across the nation.

A Euchre Tournament and Gift Basket Fundraiser was held on Sunday in Kim’s honor. People all across the community donated items and money for the event.

All of the proceeds from the event went towards Kim’s care and the Vaillancourt family.Jenna Koch, family spokesperson and long-time friend issued the following statement on behalf of Kim and Phil Vaillancourt:"Yesterday, our community came together to show support and love for our family. We would like to thank Western New York and beyond for their continued prayers and support throughout this journey. God has blessed us with remarkable family, friends, and neighbors. We can't thank you enough for your love, support, and prayers during this time. We are incredibly blessed with the outpouring of support from our beloved community. We are fortunate to have an entire community, near and far offering prayers and support. We are asking for your continued prayers and strength for our family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers." - Jenna Koch- On behalf of Kim and Phil VaillancourtYou can also donate on a Go Fund Me page here https://www.gofundme.com/z2h9nhdw.Donations can also be made to "Vaillancourt Benefit" at any First Niagara Bank branch.Donations in the form of checks can be made payable to Phil & Kim Vaillancourt and can be sent here:
