COLDEN, N.Y. — A man died in a motorcycle crash that happened Monday in the Town of Colden.
The crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan happened around 8 p.m. Monday at 7491 Center St.
Erie County Sheriff's personnel that arrived at the scene found that the person riding the motorcycle — identified as 41-year-old Steven Morrissey of Colden — appeared to have been thrown off of it. Morrissey was later declared dead at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, the sheriff's office said in a statement.
The man driving the sedan remained on the scene following the crash. The man and his passenger were not injured.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
