BUFFALO, N.Y. — A new art display is now open to the public at Daemen University. The International Peace Garden is open to the public in the new Saffrin Public Square.
The Peace Garden is a collaboration with the International Peace Foundation and the Ringo Starr Foundation. The garden features a "Peace & Love" sculpture inspired by Ringo Starr.
The sculpture is of a hand giving the peace sign and is one of three in the world approved by the legendary musician.
"It's our commitment to peace. It's a small thing, it's a garden, that's true. But let's hope that there's more momentum all around the world to be committed to peace," says Daemen University President Gary Olson.
Anyone who visits the Daemen University campus is welcome to visit the sculpture and peace garden.
