Cheektowaga man arrested following shooting on Buffalo's Main Street

Anthony Jones, 44, has been charged with assault in the first degree after allegedly shooting another man Sunday morning.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Cheektowaga man has been arrested for shooting a Buffalo man Sunday morning, according to the Buffalo Police Department.

Police say Anthony Jones, 44, allegedly shot a 30-year-old Buffalo man on Main Street, between Hertel Avenue and Highgate Avenue, around 4:20 a.m. Jones was taken into custody shortly after the shooting. 

Police say the 30-year-old man was taken to ECMC, where he was treated and released.

Jones has been charged with assault in the first degree.
