Former Kenmore Police Chief reaches plea deal

Breitnauer's attorney, Tom Eoannou told 2 On Your Side's Jeff Preval that Breitnauer will plead guilty to a misdemeanor next month in federal court.

BUFFALO, N.Y. - 2 On Your Side has learned that Peter Breitnauer, the former Kenmore Police Chief, has reached a plea deal in the criminal case he faces for possessing hydrocodone.

Breitnauer's attorney,Tom Eoannou, told 2 On Your Side's Jeff Preval that Breitnauer will plead guilty to a misdemeanor next month in federal court.

Breitnauer was accused of taking prescription pills from the NYS Medication Drop Box located at the Kenmore Police Station. He also admitted his addiction to hydrocodone and that he had been taking them from the box for his personal use.
