1 man dead, another injured following City of Buffalo shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. — One man is dead and another man injured following a shooting that happened Tuesday night in the City of Buffalo.

Buffalo Police responded to a shots-fired call around 10:30 p.m. in the area of Verplank Street and East Utica Street, just west of the Frank E. Merriweather Jr. Library. That's where two men were shot while outside, according to a city spokesperson.

A 46-year-old man from Buffalo was declared dead at the scene.

A 43-year-old man from Cheektowaga was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center. He was recently listed in stable condition.
