NY gets nearly $1 billion for local airport improvements

Over $937 million will be spread across New York State to improve airport infrastructure.

NEW YORK — Representative Tom Reed announced Tuesday that New York State will receive $937,030,865 in funding to improve local airports, thanks to the recently passed Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill.

"One of the many reasons we supported the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill was to secure much needed funding to improve our airports," Reed said in a provided statement. "We care about our local residents having the opportunity for safe and efficient air travel and thanks to this bill, we see vital investments being made for infrastructure development at our airports."

Western New York will see $790,000 each in Dunkirk, Jamestown, and Olean. The rest of that funding will be spread throughout the state.
