ELLICOTTVILLE, N.Y. — The return of the cold temps is welcome news for places such as Holiday Valley Resort this week.
The ski resort shared a video on Facebook, saying they've been able to take advantage of the cold weather and fire up more than 100 snow-making guns.
Holiday Valley officials said this is actually the latest in the season the resort has ever had this many guns going.
"We saw some pretty good crowds, we open the Yodeler Lift at noon today," Dash Hegeman, the director of marketing at Holiday Valley, told 2 On Your Side, adding,
Hegeman added: "I have some decent crowds early this afternoon. Getting out there. And I anticipate having a lot of people here this weekend. We've got a busy Saturday in store."
Holiday Valley will be open this weekend, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
