Life Storage to invest $30M in Tonawanda center

Pending final reviews from the Town of Tonawanda Planning Board and Town Board, work could begin this summer.

TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. — For the third time in six months, Life Storage Inc. is moving ahead with a new self-storage center.

The Amherst-headquartered company was the top bidder for the former Greif Inc. plant at 2122 Colvin Blvd. in the Town of Tonawanda. Plans call for a $30 million renovation of the 138,000-square-foot building into 895 climate-controlled storage units. Storage space for more than 100 boats or motor homes/recreational vehicles also is planned.

A 25-foot-wide interior path will allow clients to drive directly up to their units.  You can read the full story on Buffalo Business First's website
