BUFFALO, N.Y. — Patrick Krempholtz recently woke up in the middle of the night and decided to search local real estate listings for golf courses.
He didn't expect anything to come of it, but was surprised to find a listing that caught his eye.
"Owning a golf course was my life dream, and the way it came down it was meant to be," he said.
The Holland Hills Country Club golf course will be under new ownership soon.
Krempholtz is under contract to purchase the 263-acre property at 10438 Holland Glenwood Road, Colden from Fornes Enterprises Inc. of Springwood. Fornes Enterprises is controlled by Rob and Kelly Milbrand. Kelly is the daughter of Paul Fornes, the original developer of the golf course.
