New taproom opening in the City of Lockport

The business comes from five partners who expect to offer New York state craft beer, wine, cider and mead along with a small food menu of sandwiches and charcuterie.

LOCKPORT, N.Y. — The historic Lock District in the City of Lockport will soon host a new taproom and carryout bottle shop.

The Lock Tender will take 1,300 square feet of ground floor commercial space at 4 Lock St., part of a multi-use development that includes three upper apartments and two storefronts on the main level. There will be a 12-seat bar and indoor seating for about 100 as well as outdoor space for corn hole and live music. With no plans for a full kitchen, the group plans to work with local partners for food offerings.

A June opening is possible, pending construction completion and equipment deliveries.
