BUFFALO, N.Y. — A modest expansion is expected to have a major impact at the Lodge at Woodlawn Beach, the events center operated by the owners of Ilio DiPaolo's Restaurant in Blasdell.
Construction started this month on an addition of just over 1,000 square feet, which is planned to wrap up by June. Concept Construction is the general contractor.
The lodge is a popular spot for weddings, graduation parties and other gatherings, with a maximum capacity of 250 people, according to Ilio DiPaolo. The expansion was born out of a desire for a space that's open year-round, not just in the summer.
