Return cans and bottles in honor of National Pet Day

In celebration of National Pet Day, the SPCA serving Erie County is hosting a recycling event Thursday, April 11.

ERIE COUNTY, N.Y. — Do you have any bottles and cans ready to be returned? Today is the perfect day to do just that for a good cause. 

The SPCA serving Erie County is hosting a bottle and can recycling event in celebration of National Pet Day which is April 11. 

People can stop by one of the three return locations to show support for their animal friends from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The three locations are listed as follows

  • 6766 Transit Rd. (formerly The Protocol Restaurant) in Williamsville 
  • 12th Man Bottle & Can at 2170 Abbott Rd in Lackawanna 
  • Sawyer Creek Hotel at 3264 Niagara Falls Blvd. in North Tonawanda

People who participate in the event will have the chance to win prizes, and give-away items.

“We’re proud to support the outstanding work of the SPCA Serving Erie County,” said Karen Misiak, owner of Rapid Junk Removal. “We invite everyone in Western New York join us in supporting this great cause by bringing in your bottles and cans for recycling on National Pet Day.”
