When will you be able to see the International Space Station over Buffalo?

There's no guarantee that you'll be able to see the International Space Station through the rest of the month, but there is a chance.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Whether it's the total solar eclipse, or the Northern Lights, or the Starlink satellite chain, the ability to see something unique in the sky is often determined by whether pesky clouds get in the way.

With that said, the International Space Station is over Western New York this weekend, and there's a chance you'll be able to see it, if the conditions allow.

According to NASA, here's when you would be able to see it in Buffalo through the end of the month:

  • Saturday, for 4 minutes starting at 10:41 p.m., looking west/northwest
  • Sunday, for 6 minutes starting at 9:52 p.m., looking west/northwest
  • Monday, for 3 minutes starting at 10:41 p.m., looking west
  • Tuesday, for 5 minutes, starting at 9:51 p.m., looking west/northwest
  • Thursday, for 2 minutes starting at 9:52 p.m., looking west/southwest

Again, it's hardly a guarantee that you'll be able to see the International Space Station. But there is a chance.
