AMHERST, N.Y. — The Amherst Police Department is diverting traffic from Niagara Falls Boulevard near Maple Road due to flooding.
The heavy rains caused a large amount of water to pond in the road, making it difficult for drivers to get through. Police say the roadway began clearing up around 7:20 p.m., but drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes.
