NBC's Steve Kornacki brings expertise to NFL playoff picture

He will be on for the pregame show and during halftime of Sunday’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills on Channel 2.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Steve Kornacki was the breakout star of MSNBC’s election coverage, and now he will continue to be a part of NBC’s “Football Night in America” after his debut appearance last Sunday.

Kornacki will be on for the pregame show and during halftime of Sunday’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills.

The political correspondent has become known for his analysis of polls and voting. He says the network is trying to attach probabilities to add a layer to the NFL playoff picture.

“Steve captivated millions of viewers during election season and we’re excited that this Sunday he will turn his focus to playoff season,” said Sam Flood, Executive Producer, NBC Sports in a news release ahead of Kornacki's first appearance.

“As we push to the playoffs, who better to spot the trends, make the call about division and conference races, and identify the toss-up games that can flip the standings than the man in the khakis.”
