Damar Hamlin and his health strike up conversation after the Cincinnati game

Nearly a year after Damar Hamlin's injury, conversations are still being had and safety measures are still in seek.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — In response to Damar Hamlin's injury, Western New Yorkers and fans from all over are still interested in the updates of his health and his play on the field.

NBC NEWS reporter Jesse Kirsch spoke with Hamlin one-on-one and shared with 2 On Your Side's Daybreak their interview.

Hamlin had an emotional reencounter at the Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati Sunday night for the Bills versus Bengals game. After nearly a year since his cardiac arrest, he was asked how this weekend stood out.

Hamlin said that this weekend was its own kind of hurdle.

Even though he did not play Sunday night, the impact of his presence on the field was high.

Kirsch describes Hamlin's emotions, saying that there were moments Hamlin took to himself pre-game and post-game that were like none other.
