'The Coach' Chuck Dickerson passes away

He coached with the Bills from 1987 to 1991, under the great Buffalo Bills' head coach Marv Levy.

DEERFIELD, Illinois — Former Buffalo Bills' defensive line coach and radio host Chuck Dickerson passed away February 6 after a short illness, according to his obituary.  He was 86-years-old. 

Dickerson, known for his tag line "Who loves you baby?" was a former US Marine before playing college football for the University of Illinois.  He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns and Boston Patriots and briefly played in the AFL, NFL and CFL.

He coached with the Bills from 1987 to 1991, under the great Buffalo Bills' head coach Marv Levy.

From there, he served as a sports radio talk show host for WGR 55 radio.

He is predeceased by his wife Shirley, who he was married to for nearly 60 years.  He is survived by his son Chris and four granddaughters and a great grandson. 

A Celebration of Life will take place Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy, Palatine, Illinois.
