Bills offense finds success, drops New York Jets 32-6

Buffalo put up more than 30 points en route to a 32-6 win for the first time since week four when they hosted the Miami Dolphins.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills offense came to life at the start of the second half, as the Bills cruised to a 32-6 win over the New York Jets on Sunday evening at Highmark Stadium.

Buffalo's quick 16-0 start and three touchdowns helped carry them to victory Sunday as the Bills improved to 6-5 on the year, and 5-1 in Orchard Park.

The game was the first for Joe Brady as interim offensive coordinator replacing Ken Dorsey, who was fired on Tuesday amid the struggles on that side of the ball.

Josh Allen connected with James Cook later on in the first half, then with Ty Johnson and Khalil Shakir for touchdown passes on successive drives to extend a 16-6 halftime lead.

It was Buffalo's highest point total since a 48-20 home win over Miami back in Week 4, and the first time the Jets defense gave up more than 30-points this season.

Josh Allen finished the game with 275 passing yards, with 20 completions on 32 attempts, earning a 62.5% passing percentage and a 108.2 passer rating. He also connected with James Cook for a 5-yard TD that gave Buffalo a 16-0 lead in the first half.

The Bills defense limited New York to 155 total yards.

Cornerback Rasul Douglas, who was acquired in a trade with Green Bay, had two interceptions and a fumble recovery for Buffalo.

Jets quarterback Zach Wilson was replaced by Tim Boyle in the second half.

Wilson finished 7-of-15 passing for 81 yards with a first-half touchdown pass to Breece Hall, and an interception. The Jets ended up turning the ball over four times during Sunday's game.

The Bills settled for three Tyler Bass field goals in the first half, the first of which came after they recovered a fumble on the opening kickoff.

The Buffalo defense was hit with more injuries.

Safety Taylor Rapp was taken off the field in an ambulance after suffering a neck injury near the end of the first half.  He had movement in his hands as he was loaded into the ambulance.

Defensive back Taron Johnson left the game after suffering a concussion on the same play.

Cornerback Dane Jackson left the game in the first half after being evaluated for a head injury.
