BUFFALO - What a difference a year makes.
The Sabres have served notice that they are a far different team to deal with this season.
The latest example was a 2-1 win over the Eastern Conference leading Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night.
The Sabres (22-pts.) are tied for third in the division and conference standings. Last year at this time, they had eight fewer points and were at the bottom of those standings.
WGRZ's Adam Benigni had the chance to speak with captain Jack Eichel, and veteran forward Jason Pominville on team and individual success, as well as the outlook for a team that is currenlty contending for the playoffs... albeit 18-games into the season.
The Sabres start a three game road trip Friday night at Winnipeg.
