WARSAW, N.Y. — A Perry man is facing charges for allegedly sexually abusing a child.
Robert E. Hopkins, 43, is charged with sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
Perry Police say Hopkins sexually abused a 10-year-old child while that child slept at his home.
Hopkins was arraigned in Warsaw Town Court. He was remanded to the Wyoming County Jail on $50,000 cash bail.
He is scheduled to return to court June 11.
Perry Police say Hopkins is also facing charges in Warsaw for a similar case. Warsaw Police filed charges of sexual abuse and course of sexual conduct against a child for another case in their village.
