14 Killed in Bus Crash in Canada

Fourteen people were killed and another 14 were hurt when a hockey team bus collided with a semi Friday in Saskatchewan.

SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA — 14 people are dead after a crash Friday involving a hockey team's bus and a semi truck.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police say it happened less than 20 miles north of Tisdale, Saskatchewan.

Fourteen others were injured, and some have critical injuries, according to RCMP. Officers said 28 people, including the driver, were on board at the time of the crash.

The crash involved the team bus for the Humboldt Broncos, who are part of the Canadian Junior Hockey League. The team was headed to a playoff game.

Police won't say if the victims were players or coaches.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted a message of condolence late Friday night.

Others sent their condolences to the team on social media using #PrayersforHumboldt.

The Buffalo Sabres sent out a message of support on Twitter Saturday morning.

Evander Kane, a former Buffalo Sabre and current left winger for the San Jose Sharks, tweeted a message of support.

RCMP said they will give another update on the crash Saturday morning.
