Small plane flips upside down in Clarence

An early video shows the plane intact, but upside down.

CLARENCE CENTER, N.Y. — First responders were called to a Clarence airport for a report of a plane that flipped upside down.

New York State Police officials on Wednesday said that state troopers responded to the Clarence Aerodrome Airport on Transit Road in Amherst for a report of a plane collision.

Investigators said the single-engine plane was attempting to take off when the front tire of the small plane got stuck in the mud, causing the plane to flip upside down.

State troopers and emergency crews help get the 82-year-old pilot out of the plane. The pilot was taken to Erie County Medical Center and was treated for minor injuries.
