NEWFANE, N.Y. — Do you have gently used formal wear collecting dust in your closet? Although it can be hard to let go of special clothing, it can be even more rewarding to see it have new life again by donating it to a good cause.
Newfane's Alumni Association has created a fun and free event not only for the Newfane community but all of Niagara County.
Happening on Saturday, March 16, students looking for formal dress wear for prom, graduation or any upcoming momentous event can check out the groups annual 'Panther Pretty' event.
Panther Pretty gives students the chance to find something to wear to prom at no cost and in a comfortable environment where they can checkout, and try on multiple options.
Leading up to the event the group will be accepting donations such as
- Room Dividers, Folding Privacy Screens, four Panel Partition Screen, Steel Frame and Fabric Office Partition for Home Office Dorm (Black)
- Shrink Wrap bags (Hanging Vacuum Storage Bags, 6 Pack Large Hanging Space Saver Bags, Hanging Storage Bags for Clothes, Vacuum Sealed for Suits, Dress, Jackets, Closet Organizer for Moving Supplies(53.1x27.6 in)
- Men’s & Women’s Suits (Preferably Teen Sizes!)
- Dresses (Formal & Semi-Formal)
- Men’s & Women’s Dress Shoes
- Accessories (Dress Socks, Ties, Jewelry, etc.)
- Purses
The group asks that any donations purchased off Amazon are shipped directly to the school address - Newfane Senior High School, ATTN: Newfane Alumni, 6273 Charlotteville Road, Newfane, NY 14108.
Donations may also be dropped off to the high school during school hours.
