Mercy Flight takes pedestrian to ECMC following Lockport incident

LOCKPORT, N.Y. — Mercy Flight was called in after a pedestrian was struck Wednesday afternoon in the Town of Lockport.

The incident happened at 1:49 p.m. on the 6300 block of Robinson Road, east of Transit Road. That's where, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, a pedestrian was stuck in a parking lot. The vehicle was pulling into the place of business when the incident occurred.

Mercy Flight was called to the scene. It transported the pedestrian, who the sheriff's office said has serious injuries, to Erie County Medical Center.

"The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and is cooperating with the investigation," police said.

The names of the people involved are being withheld at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
