BUFFALO, N.Y. — The City of Buffalo is teaming up with various groups to improve neighborhoods.

On Wednesday morning, Mayor Byron Brown, Masten District Council Member Ulysees O. Wingo, Sr. and Buffalo Police Commissioner Byron C. Lockwood kicked off another season of "Clean Sweep," the city's annual neighborhood improvement program.

The effort brings together dozens of city services, community agencies, and public and private partners.

Members of the Buffalo Police Department Neighborhood Engagement Team and City of Buffalo Save Our Streets Task Force are part of the "Clean Sweep," which aims to address blight and quality of life issues in all nine of the city's council districts.
