An original stained glass window returns to the Martin House

The Wisteria art glass window was installed on the first floor on Thursday.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — If you're planning a visit to Frank Lloyd Wright's Martin House this spring, you will now be able to see one of the home's original stained glass windows.

The Wisteria art glass window was installed on the first floor on Thursday. 2 On Your Side talked with the home's curator, who said the goal is to reacquire the original glass, restore them to their intended state, and replicate any missing pieces.

"This particular window has been put back in the dining room of the Martin House in a special place that looks out at the gardens, so when visitors come to see it, they can experience the whole importance of what the Martin House means by understanding the buildings, the artworks, and the landscape," Susana Tejeda said.

The window is one of 11 in the pattern now displayed in the historic home.
