Grand marshal announced for St. Patrick's Day parade

Liam Knott will be the grand marshal in what's become a family tradition.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — We are just over a month away from St. Patrick's Day, and on Sunday we found out who will be leading the annual parade down Delaware Avenue.

Liam Knott will be the grand marshal. The announcement was made at the Buffalo Irish Center on Abbott Road in South Buffalo.

This is somewhat of a family tradition for the Knotts; Liam's grandfather was the grand marshal in 1962, his mom in 1981, and an uncle in 2002.

The best advice Knott got from his family was to pray for sunshine.

The parade is on Sunday, March 17 and steps off at 2 p.m. in downtown Buffalo.
