AMHERST, NY -- A fire struck Monday night at May Jen, a Chinese restaurant in Amherst.
Firefighters were called out to the scene at the May Jen Chinese restaurant on Kenmore Avenue around 5:30 Monday evening.
Eggertsville Fire tells us the three employees in the building at the time were able to get out uninjured.
The restaurant, on the other hand, was pretty badly damaged.
Firefighters say the fire was going through the roof by the time they got there.
No word yet on what started the fire, or exactly how much damage it caused.
