Family of a missing Buffalo man remains hopeful

Kwashawn Hart, 30, hasn't been seen since early February in Buffalo.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The last text message the father of Kwashawn Hart received from his son was on Feb. 8. He said he was OK, texting "chilled dad. I'm grown," but Charles Hart does not believe that to be true.

He said his son called 911 after hallucinating from bad marijuana.

"He said he stayed at ECMC for three hours till 7:30 a.m., and he called me at 10:30 a.m., but that was three hours after he left, and that's the last time I talked to him," Hart said.

"I'm just praying for the best, you know. I want my son to come home," Hart said about his only son. "He's always with me, we're like we father and son, but that's my friend."

Buffalo Police say Kwashawn was last seen in the area of Fillmore and Genesee Street in the City of Buffalo wearing a black hoodie and black snow pants.

He is described as a Black male, with brown hair, long dreads, brown eyes, stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs 160 pounds. Kwashawn also could possibly be suffering from mental health issues.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
