BLASDELL, N.Y.--An investigation is underway after a deadly train accident in Blasdell.
It happened at about 10:30 p.m. Monday night near the tracks on Lake Avenue.
Blasdell Fire officials tell 2 On Your Side a woman was hit and killed by a CSX train.
Circumstances surrounding the accident are unknown at this time.
CSX Transportation tells us the train had two locomotives and 87 freight cars in total.
The train was traveling from Willard, Ohio to Syracuse, NY. It was carrying 70 loaded cars with freight that included flour, corn syrup, telephone poles, propane gas and steel beams.
There were no injuries to the crew.
Officials say video footage from the train will be sent to CSX headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida for further review.
