LOCKPORT, N.Y. — A code blue has been issued for Wednesday, November 1 through Thursday, November 2 at 8:00am for the City of Lockport.
It is forecasted that temperatures will be below freezing , and Mayor Michelle Roman is encouraging anyone without heat to utilize the Salvation Army on Cottage Street to seek shelter between 8:00pm and 10:00pm.
Those seeking shelter after 10:00pm should report to the Lockport Police Department by the Niagara Street entrance walk-up window, and those will be helped.
Code blue is a lifesaving operation that provides shelter, food, and supportive services to those in need during inclement weather.
