List of Rite Aids closing in WNY continues to grow

The list of local Rite Aids closing continues to grow as the company’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy process moves forward.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The list of local Rite Aids closing continues to grow as the company’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy process moves forward.

Rite Aid (NYSE:RAD) will soon close locations at 3249 Sheridan Drive, Amherst and 459 South Transit St., Lockport.

The Amherst spot’s pharmacy will close April 15 and the front-end’s last day will be May 21, according to a company spokesperson.

See a full list of previously reported affected Rite Aids:

  • 47 Niagara St., Tonawanda, is closing its pharmacy May 14, and front-end’s last day is May 19.
  • 452 Main St., Buffalo. Rite Aid is looking to sell the 10,724-square-foot store.
  • 15 Arnold St., Buffalo. The company wants to sell the 3,150 square feet of land it owns.
  • 2453 Elmwood Ave., Kenmore. The business aims to sell the 19,800-square-foot, freestanding store.
  • 2887 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga, is closing
  • 2047 Sheridan Drive, Town of Tonawanda recently posted signs that the store is closing and everything is on sale.
