NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. - The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says that a body was discovered on the shore line of the Niagara River Saturday afternoon.
Niagara County Sheriff James Voutour says that the Niagara County Sheriff's Office Marine Division was out patrolling the waters when they recovered a body near Navy Island.
Voutour says marine authorities have been out on the waters for a search and recovery mission after a boat collided with a jet-skier late last month in the City of Tonawanda.
Authorities say they do not know if the body recovered is that of the missing jet-skier.
The body will be taken to ECMC for identification. We will update this story when we receive more information.
