After 96 years in business, a Niagara Falls restaurant & lounge has been sold

The names of the buyers and sales price have not been disclosed.

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — After 96 years in the same family, The Como Restaurant & Lounge has a buyer.

The Colucci and Antonacci families have signed a deal with a local investor for the restaurant and banquet business at 2220 Pine Ave. in Niagara Falls, according to Christina Pecoraro of Hunt Commercial Real Estate, who represented the sellers.

The names of the buyers and sales price have not been disclosed. The Como will close on Oct. 28 as the sale proceeds. The deal is expected to close just after the new year, she said, with the buyers reopening in early spring.

Some changes are in store: Pecoraro confirmed the buyers will keep the name, equipment and recipes, but they also will add other types of food beyond the traditional Italian menu and might add two more restaurants in the space.
