DEPEW, NY – A popular restaurant in Depew is closed after a fire damaged part of the building Thursday night. The Forestview Restaurant is located on the 4700 block of Transit Road in Depew.
The fire started near the restaurant's front door, likely due to a cigarette that was tossed into mulch.
It spread to an exterior wall. Crews had to open the wall up to check for fire and the restaurant was evacuated. No one was hurt.
The restaurant will be back open after the Health Department inspects it.
