Swift released TTPD last Friday, April 19, and shattered streaming records since its release. One of those records include having over 300 million streams of her new opening track and single "Fortnight" featuring Post Malone.

"Fortnight" is also one of the tracks where Swift offers her commentary, detailing the themes of the album that's depicted in the song.

"One of which being fatalism -- longing, pining away, lost dreams," Swift said. "I think that it's a very fatalistic album in that there are lots of very dramatic lines about life or death. 'I love you, it's ruining my life.' These are very hyperbolic, dramatic things to say. It's that kind of album."
